A photographic tour of The Hive… no.1
- 2nd February 2012
This week we have begun our staff induction tours at The Hive, which are a chance for staff to see where they will be working soon. We have been taking lots of photographs so we can show you a sneak peek of what it looks like! As there are so many we will split them into several posts, the first being some general shots of the building.
We’ll be back soon with some photos of the History floor – the new home of the Archive and Archaeology Service!
A great introduction to The Hive.
Keep up the good work – I can hardly wait to buzz in and see the interior for myself!
Thank you, Roger. So glad you like the images so far. It is exciting to get a look inside at last and we can't wait for you all to join us there.
Hello, It really looks first class, streamlined and well thought out. Bit scarey. I'm secretary of Badsey Historical Society. Will there be an open day or evening before you open your doors to the public?
Valerie Magan-Badsey
Hi, Valerie. We're glad to hear you like the first look of The Hive. It may seem a bit intimidating at first but once you get used to it it soon seems a more manageable size.
We are currently planning to hold an Open Day in May. We will shortly be in contact with local socieities so that they may nominate a representative to attend this event. As we have limited availability and other services are busy moving into The Hive, we are unable to take bookings from individual societies for tours at the moment . We hope to be able to start taking group bookings in the Autumn.
We look forward to being able to take people round the new building, and we're sure you will all be impressed with what you see.
