Explore the Past is the commercial arm of Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service, which is part of Worcestershire County Council. Our privacy statement provides you with details of the information that the Council collects and uses about you. Worcestershire County Council provides services for people and local communities including social care services for adults and children, educational services, environmental services, and libraries, museums and archives services. The day-to-day work of the Council often involves collecting and using information about the people whom we provide services to and with whom we work.
We will record personal information if you:
- subscribe to, apply for, or receive services that require personal information
- report a fault and give your contact details for us to respond
- contact us and leave your details for us to respond
In many normal circumstances we will ask your consent to use your personal information. However, there are some situations where the law requires us to use information without your consent.
Where services are not provided directly by the Council it may be necessary to pass your personal data to organisations contracted to provide those services. These organisations will be authorised to act for the Council, and must also comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.
