Worcestershire Archaeology has carried out historic building recording for almost 30 years. We have an in-depth knowledge of the buildings of all eras across the West Midlands and further afield.
National and local planning policies emphasise the importance of recording historic buildings prior to and during changes or conversion. Building recording is not restricted to listed buildings and can cover a wide range of building types and ages, from medieval through to modern structures.
We produce studies of individual buildings to Historic England standards in order to aid the architect, conservation officer and planners, as well as undertaking building surveys for national bodies.
Our services include:
- hand-drawn measured surveys
- documentary research
- photographic surveys
- electronic measured surveys
- reconstructions
- building analysis
- 3D photogrammetric models can also be arranged
