Lee Jackson
Lee joined the team in 2023 and brings with him over 20 years of photography experience. With an MA in Photography from the University of Plymouth, Lee worked as an associate lecturer in photography and as a Senior Technician. He has a keen eye for detail and passion for image making. Lee will be using his experience to build on the work of his predecessors. His role is to photograph the collections within the archives to help preserve originals and make them accessible. Lee also offers commercial services to external organisations to image their own collections.
Lee joined the team as Senior Archival Photographer in November 2023 and brings with him over 20 years of photography and visual arts experience. Graduating with a Masters Degree in Photography at the University of Plymouth, He then worked as an associate lecturer in photography and a Senior Technician in photography and visual media. Along with his keen eye for detail and passion for image making, Lee will be using his technical experience to build on the outstanding work of his predecessors in the Digitisation Service. His role is to photograph the many unique documents and objects within the archives to help preserve originals whilst increasing their accessibility to the archive service users. Alongside this, Lee will be working with commercial enterprises to provide digital images for their own collections as well as for display and research purposes.
